In Literacy, we have been looking at ‘Claude in the City’. We have really enjoyed reading about the adventures Claude has been on and what situations he has managed to get himself into. We have used the story to help us write newspaper reports, WANTED posters and create a blurb for a new Claude story. We have been using suffix words such as nervously, amazement, colourful, to make our writing even more exciting and we are more confident using conjunctions to extend our sentences.

In Maths, we have been learning about both 2D and 3D shapes and their properties. We have also been working hard on learning our number bonds to 10 and 20 off by heart and understanding that some number sentences can be commutative.

In History we have been studying the Wright Brothers who invented the first successful flyer named the Kitty Hawk. We have found out lots of information and facts about the famous brothers and have discussed how planes have evolved over time.
In DT we created our own Kitty Hawk plane. We used strong cardboard and cocktail sticks to connect it all together and we had great fun making them.
