We would very much like to welcome you and your child to our Nursery. This page will be updated over the next few weeks to give you more information on key dates and on what to expect, plus helpful ideas on how to prepare your child for starting school. If you have any queries please contact the school office on 0208 390 9544 or email to email@example.com.
The school is delighted to welcome Miss Wastell as our new Nursery Teacher. Miss Wastell has a great deal of experience in Nursery and Early Years and is very much looking forward to meeting the children and starting them off on their school journey.
To help children settle into Nursery, we have made a short welcome video in which we tell you a little bit about Nursery and Ms Hawker, our Headteacher, introduces you to our lovely school. Please click on the below link:
Nursery telephone meetings
Due to the situation with COVID-19, we are unfortunately unable to hold a “Meet The Teacher Day” or do home visits at this time. Instead, prior to your child starting, the class teacher will be doing a telephone meeting for all new children. This will provide an opportunity for the teacher to introduce themselves to the children and for parents to ask questions.
Currently the school is planning for the new children to start school on Wednesday 16th September and Friday 18th September. This date is provisional due to the current situation. We are expecting further guidance for schools nearer September. Start times will be phased in over a week and you will be advised of your child’s individual start date by letter. The school wants your child to settle in well and there will be flexibility around these dates.
The school uses ParentPay for all communication and payments and we would like to encourage all parents to sign up. Details of this have been sent to parents and are available to view on the school website. The registration document will be sent out together with the instructions again later this term.
In Nursery we use Tapestry to record your child’s learning. This system allows the teacher to record photos and pieces of work done by your child. Parents can sign up to view their child’s learning and you will be given details of how to do so when your child starts in September.
Your child is entitled to free school milk until they turn five, after which it can be paid for. To register please go to the Cool Milk website at www.coolmilk.com. Any hard copies of the form should be sent in the post directly to Coolmilk.
